Depending on bottom and seasonal conditions, the tackle on your mooring system could last as little as one year or, as
long as five. SDS understands these factors and can replace any failing tackle or install a complete new mooring system.

Mooring Systems - A Few Things To Consider
IMPORTANT: If you decide to have a mooring buoy installed remember that all mooring systems are not created
equal. All of SDS mooring systems include a minimum of three anodes (top, middle & bottom), a double buoy mid-line float to keep your gear off the seabed, and a top of the line mooring pendant tailored for your specific vessel.
If your mooring system does not come with a mooring pendant free of charge like SDS, make sure you install a buoy that is "weight bearing" and not the rod and swivel type which is non-weight bearing and subject to hidden corrosion. If your vessel is tied off to a rod & swivel type buoy, your boat could break free and possibly cost you thousands in damages. That's why it's always important to lock your pendant into the main line chain.
You can also protect the chain on your system by adding a hanging anode underneath your buoy. No diver needed.
After Your Mooring Buoy Is Installed
Make sure you use chafe guards/protection on your lines where they go through the bow chocks to reduce chafing. Pendants and bridles typically fail at the chock most likely due to heat. Have your mooring system inspected and cleaned every 1-2 years and it is crucial the anodes and seizing wire are replaced at this time.
